How a clearance actually runs

Five stages, and we own all of them. You get told what happened at each one rather than having to ask.

  1. Documents before the cargo

    We check the invoice, packing list and licence position while the shipment is still in the air or on the water — so a missing certificate is found early, not at the port.

  2. Filed under our own licence

    Bill of entry or shipping bill goes in under the DRS Customs Broker licence. Nothing queues behind another agent's workload.

  3. Assessment, duty and queries

    We handle assessment, examination and any departmental query directly, including classification and valuation arguments where they arise.

  4. Out of charge

    Cargo is released and you get confirmation with the documents, not a phone call three days later.

  5. Warehouse or delivery

    Straight into our own warehouse for staging, or onto our own trucks for delivery anywhere in the NCR.
